About the presence of Limaria rotundata (Sowerby G.B. II, 1843) (BIVALVIA: PECTINOIDEA: LIMIDAE) off the coast of Angola, pp.22-24, plates I-VI by Frank Nolf.

For the first time, Limaria rotundata (Sowerby G.B. II, 1843) is mentioned as living in West Africa, namely in the coastal waters of Angola. This species is compared with the similar Indo Pacific species L. fragilis (Gmelin, 1791) and its Mediterranean-West African neighbour Limaria tuberculata (Olivi, 1792), all three have always been confused in recent literature.

Key words: Limaria rotundata, Limaria tuberculata, LIMIDAE, Angola.
