A shell safari in Sierra Leone, pp. 1-30 + figs. by Johan Moerman.

In November 1993, the author, Johan Moerman, spent his holidays – about three weeks – in Sierra Leone. At that moment most parts of this young West African republic had been recovered from the rebels by the national army, but the country remained turbulent and dangerous for any tourist.
The beach holiday turned into a succession of funny and less enjoyable experiences. However, some very interesting seashells were found in this short but adventurous stay.

Key words: Sierra Leone, W. Africa.
