17(3)Confirmation of the presence of Fusinus bocagei marcelpini Hadorn & Ryall, 1999 (Mollusca: Gastropoda: Fasciolariidae) in Angolan waters, and an additional note about the Eastern Atlantic Amiantofusus species, pp. 1-10, pls I-V, by Frank Nolf

Abstract: This paper serves as an addendum to the article published in Neptunea, 17(1) (Nolf, F., 2023) treating on the occurence of various species within the FASCIOLARIIDAE family in the Eastern Atlantic waters adjacent to Gabon, Angola and Namibia. The presence of Fusinus bocagei marcelpini Hadorn Ryall, 1999 in Angolan waters from earlier reports is confirmed by the catches of additional specimens. Comparative analyses are conducted between samples of both the nominal species and the subspecies and compared with Fusinus boettgeri (von Maltzan, 1884) and Amiantofusus amiantus (Dall, 1889). The position of Fusus grimaldii Dautzenberg & H. Fischer, 1896 is discussed.

About some species of Naytia and Bullia (Mollusca: Gastropoda: Nassariidae) from West African waters, including the introduction of a new species, pp. 11-40, pls I-XXII, 4 text figs, by Frank Nolf & Steve Hubrecht

Abstract: A critical examination of Bullia and Naytia species from West Africa has yelded insights suggesting that Bullia crosseana Tapparone-Canefri, 1882, previously regarded as a subjective junior synonym, is indeed a real junior synonym of Bullia granulosa (Lamarck, 1822). Additionally, this study has resulted in the description of a new species, based upon conchological characteristics. A comparison with related West African species has been included, aiming to facilitate further exploration of this challenging group of shells. Notably, particular emphasis has been placed on Bullia gruveli (Dautzenberg, 1910) and Bullia terebraeformis (Dautzenberg, 1912), species with limited documentation.
